Skateboarding knows no borders or wars, skin colour or religion. It ignores rich and poor and aims to unify and promote a sense of identity and purpose, in particular in the development of young people.
In 2008 Titus Dittman visited Afghanistan, and it was clear to him that he needed to do more. So in 2010 he established the Titus Dittmann Foundation. Aiming to utilise the power of skateboarding it aims to bring hope on four wheels to under privileged young people from around the world in places such as Afghanistan, Africa and Germany.
Osiris have made a shoe with Skate-Aid and we are proud to say this will be available soon. All proceeds will be donated to Skate-Aid. We don’t have pictures of this shoe yet, but trust me, when we do, we will get up onto this blog.
For now, watch this great video below of how the Foundation built its first skate park. I imagine there are many more to come.
